How much money will I make?
We can’t give you exact profit numbers, but our low startup costs and our proven franchising system increase your opportunity to make a profit beginning in the first year. How long is the franchise agreement term?
The term of our franchise agreement is five years and may be renewed for successive five-year terms if all conditions are met. There is no renewal fee.

How much is the estimated initial investment?
A new Liberty Tax® office will cost from $41,800 to $58,400 depending on location and size, including the franchise fee, start-up costs, working capital, supplies, and equipment.

Whether for a new or existing store, prices can vary greatly depending on location, size, and profitability and are decided solely between the buyer and seller.

How much is the franchise fee?
For a standard territory, the franchise fee is $25,000, making it one of the best values in all of franchising.

What are the royalties?
Royalties are 14% of gross receipts less allowable exclusions, subject to the following minimums: first year — $5,000; second year — $8,000; third year and beyond — $11,000. An additional 5% national advertising royalty is also required.

Do you provide financing assistance?

Who finds the location for the franchise?
Our dedicated, professional search team can help find your optimal location. The team includes a Liberty Tax® Site Selector to offer advice and guidance on your office location. We take into account size of the space, visibility, accessibility by car or public transportation, and other related factors. As further protection for you, a lease should not be signed until after your office site is approved by the search team.

After your initial training and education, the corporate team will provide ongoing support, including our annual convention, networking meetings with other Liberty Tax® franchisees, store visits, business tools, an intranet site designed specifically for franchisees, newsletters, and a toll-free support center.
